Album Features Appearances by Ciara, Cardi B, Lil Durk and More
Still Over It, the sophomore album by multi-platinum singer-songwriter, Summer Walker (LVRN/Interscope Records), has finally arrived. The 20-song project is a chronological progression of stories, as evidenced by their titles: beginning with “Bitter” (narrated by rap superstar, Cardi B) and culminating with “Ciara’s Prayer” (narrated by R&B icon, Ciara). The impressive track list also boasts appearances by JT (City Girls), SZA, Lil Durk, Pharrell Williams and Omarion. Summer’s unique proclivity toward delivering raw, gritty lyrics in a softer, melodic manner has helped to propel her celebrity and is captured perfectly on the album’s lead single, “Ex For A Reason,” alongside JT. The single has already amassed over 11 MM US streams while reaching #6 on Billboard’s Hot R&B Songs chart; her 14th top 10 appearance. Fans can procure either the physical or digital edition of Still Over It, with each version sporting its own individual cover.
As part of a month-long promotional campaign, Summer’s Hard Drive took to the streets making appearances and hosting advance listening sessions for contest-winning fans. Last night, Summer hosted a final listening party at the Atlanta University Center, exclusive to the women of Spelman College and Clark Atlanta University.
Summer’s 2019 debut album, Over It, spent 108 weeks on the Billboard 200 and 14 weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums chart. To date, the tracks have collectively generated 3.7 billion US streams. The Atlanta native’s July 2020 EP, Life on Earth, debuted inside the top 10 on the Billboard 200 at No. 8. Summer has worked to cement her reputation as a force to be reckoned with, covering both Rolling Stone and Billboard magazines, and taking home Soul Train, iHeart Music and Billboard Music Awards. Summer’s imprint, Ghetto Earth Records, is a joint venture with Interscope Records to which singer-songwriter NO1-NOAH is signed.
