Bradley McCaw – It’s Christmas

As the world slowly begins to reopen and we all return to a version of normal life, emerging Queensland artist, BRADLEY MCCAW returns with a brand new rock’n’roll Christmas single to lift people’s spirits and bring joy to the air waves!

“It’s Christmas” was written and recorded with artists from all over the world within a six-week period, while Bradley, like many other people around the world, found himself stranded in his home town. The B Side is the captivating ballad “I Wish (This Christmas)”.

Taking a classic Motown sound, adding a touch of Phil Spector’s ‘wall of sound’ and bringing it all into the modern day, “It’s Christmas” also features a band of international music legends. Co-produced by Musicians Hall of Fame Guitarist Louie Shelton, with Nathan East on Bass and Greg Phillinganes on Keyboards – this is a world class ensemble.

Bradley says, “Nathan East actually played on Michael Buble’s classic Christmas Album – you know the one – and Greg Phillinganes is one of the great keyboard players of all time being on Michael Jacksons Thriller and countless others. I’m just humbled that they would appear on these songs.”

The sound of these tracks is timeless and unmistakably joyful. Featuring an incredible choir of young singers from the Sister2Sister School of Singing lead by Australian recording duo and Aria award winning Sharon & Christine Muscat (Sister2Sister, Delta Goodrem) alongside third session vocalist Glenn Cunningham (Jimmy Barnes, John Farnham, George Benson).

Fun fact: The artwork for the “It’s Christmas” single was made by the daughter of the song’s recording engineer, Guy Gray (The Rolling Stones, Duran Duran, Bon Jovi, Joan Jett, Cyndi Lauper and Paul Kelly).

“Christmas can be quite divisive today. Everyone has a different set of beliefs and it’s important we respect those and when the time is right, understand what the day means or doesn’t mean to whoever we come in close contact with. But for children and for alot of adults like me, Christmas is a time of new beginnings, of remembering what we appreciate. To reflect on the people we were, the year we have lived and how we desire to grow or change in the year to come. It’s also a time for eating way too much chocolate. Just me?” Bradley McCaw.

Bradley’s career started on the somewhat, opposite side of the tracks, singing classical music with the International singing group THE TEN TENORS, achieving his first world tour and a performance at an Internationally televised AFL GRAND FINAL. During this time, he also performed lead roles in musicals like RENT, LES MISERABLES and won the INTERNATIONAL CABARET SHOWCASE with a one-man tour de force performance, featuring an original script and score, culminating in another Australian Tour and a sold-out performance on New York’s, 42nd Street.
