Allison Forbes – Save You Now

Four time Golden Guitar finalist, Allison Forbes, presents her brand new single ‘Save You Now’. The bones of the song is losing that version of the life you created and not knowing what to do next. It witnesses sheer desperation, whether observing it in somebody else or experiencing it within yourself, shaking your head and wondering how things went so wrong. Forbes’ voice sails across these emotions and delivers them easily. This folky yet hard-hitting alt-country ballad produced by ARIA Award winning Matt Fell, will leave you asking yourself that exact question if you lost everything. Featuring backing vocals by the incomparable Shane Nicholson, this song is sure to summon some truth for even the hardest of hearts.

Allison Forbes is a new-age outlaw of country music. Tamworth’s rebel child is a breath of fresh air and an outburst of originality in songwriting. Nominated for four CMAA Golden Guitars in 2021, Allison’s debut album ‘Bonedigger’, produced by ARIA Award winner Shane Nicholson, debuted at #1 on the ARIA Australian Country Music Album Chart in February 2020 and was the second highest-selling independent artist across all genres that week. She stuck around on charts and radio for the remainder of the year and was voted Most Popular Female Artist in the Independent Country Music Awards. The controversial single ‘Broken Radios’ reached #1 on Australian country radio and she has no intention of slowing down any time soon. Already, Forbes has recorded a brand-new album ‘Dead Men Tell No Tales’ with ARIA Award-winner Matt Fell set for release later in 2021.

Allison Forbes has secured her spot tightly in Australia’s alt-country scene. Brave and authentic insightful lyrics and addictive melodies, her stories will charm the pants off you. An honest and inspiring performer, her voice soars easily through any style with strength, warmth, and consideration. A dark gothic thread weaved through the straw of a country music basket of goodies.

SUPPORT FOR DL

“DL has been riding high on a wave of praise and accolades and deservedly so.”
Tone Deaf (AUS)

“Delivering chilled Hip-Hop injected with a strong blend of soulful R&B and Pop, Melbourne-based DL’s distinctive melodic rasp and playful wordplay has cemented his place as one of Australia’s most exciting and emerging artists.”
I Am Hip Hop (UK)

Melbourne-based rap artist DL returns with his latest heartening single ‘LOVE’ featuring ARIA nominated singer Nathaniel. The Nu-soul / Pop crossover was produced by SB90, and mixed by Charles Daly (Amy Shark, Allday, Mallrat).

This uplifting banger is jam packed with good vibes & infectious hooks. The elusive electric piano, punchy synth chords & imperious beat pave the way for DL’s crafty flow & the suave vocals of Nathaniel; providing an elevated melody over an effervescent chorus that bursts with bright production and electronics. The glowing candidness of the song is a nod to its romantic message.
DL talks about the meaning behind ‘LOVE’ ft. Nathaniel:

“‘LOVE’ is a song I wrote about a woman and the feels I got even before meeting her. There was just that something about her; and yeah, we ended up walking down the aisle together, and we’ve created two beautiful daughters since. They’ve straight up given ‘LOVE’ more than one definition. This song is celebrating all of it. I’m legitimately thrilled and so proud to share it.”

Previous releases have seen praise from online blogs Tone Deaf and I Am Hip Hop (UK). DL has been heavily supported by New Zealand’s largest urban radio station Mai FM, along with the likes of Radio Adelaide, PBS FM and KISS FM, where his single ‘No Time For Love’ ft. Sammie charted in their December Top 10.

Throughout his career, DL has collaborated with established artists Guy Sebastian and Sammie. In the live arena, he has shared the stage with the likes of Keri Hilson, Bobby Valentino, Next and Chris Sebastian.

In the coming weeks, DL will reveal an accompanying live acoustic video for ‘LOVE’ ft. Nathaniel.

The Wolfe Brothers & LOCASH – Startin’ Something

THE WOLFE BROTHERS ARE “STARTIN’ SOMETHING” WITH A NEW DUET RELEASE ALONGSIDE USA POWERHOUSE GROUP LOCASH AND ANNOUNCE FIFTH STUDIO ALBUM RELEASE DATE

The Wolfe Brothers, team up with their good mates LOCASH for their latest barnstormer ” Startin’ Something “. Hailed by the band as “a party starter from Tasmania to Tennessee,” the track sure does deliver. With a sonic vibe reminiscent of the international clinking of a Cascade Blue tinnie to a Budweiser brewski, this duet brings together two much-loved duos with a generous helping of bravado and cheer. A good time tune, and a sure-fire hit, the release comes hot on the heels The Wolfe Brother’s 14 th consecutive Aus Country Airplay #1 “Anybody Ever”.

Produced by Lindsay Rimes (Luke Bryan, Kane Brown, Kylie Minogue) “Startin’ Something” captures a similarly joyful fusion of country, rock and pop as previous single, “No Brakes” on which The Wolfe Brothers previously collaborated with Rimes. Written with Jordan Brooker (Luke Combs) back in 2016, the stars aligned as the brothers emerged from their award-winning album “Country Heart “to write the new record. Revisiting their back catalogue, the 2016 “Startin’ Something” write was reimagined, as bassist Tom Wolfe says: “We wanted to make a record we could play live anywhere – from the back of a truck at a BNS Ball to a stadium. ‘Startin’ Something’ seemed to be one of those songs that kept giving us that feeling”.

Billboard Country Airplay chart toppers and 2019 American Country Music “Duo of Year “nominees LOCASH will need no introductions; and with a haul of Golden Guitars to their name The Wolfe Brothers are no slouches in the accolade category themselves. This pairing promises great things and delivers in spades. As The Wolfe Brothers put it: “Our paths first crossed back in 2016 when the LOCASH single ‘I Love This Life’ was dominating the charts and it was just awesome to be on the same stage! Fast forward to now and we’re on the same record label with BBR Music Group/BMG. We seized the opportunity to reach out and the rest is history!”.

“Startin’ Something” is the third single released from The Wolfe Brother’s fifth album “Kids On Cassette” now announced for release on July 30th . “We’ve pushed ourselves into new areas, feels and sounds for this record – It’s got heart, soul and a lot of fun in this one!” says Tom of the impending release. The first album released following the band’s signing at BBR Music Group/BMG, vocalist/ lead guitarist Nick Wolfe says “I can’t wait for people to hear Kids on Cassette. We’re really proud of the end result and just can’t wait to play the songs live!”.

The brothers both acknowledge the massive support the new songs have received from their fans. With their last “Anybody Ever” still in the Top 20 after spent 29 weeks in the Australia Country Airplay chart and “No Brakes ” before that, spending 22 weeks in the Top 20 it’s clear that The Wolfe Brothers are a band at the top of their game. With songs of this caliber, “Kids on Cassette” promises to be a crowd pleaser, and one thing is for sure the brothers can’t wait to share it!

The Wolfe Brothers new single “Startin’ Something” is available digitally now and will be released to radio on 30 May 2021. Pre-orders for new album “Kids on Cassette” go live 28 May 2021. Kids on Cassette will be released on 30 July 2021. For more information visit: www.thewolfebrothers.com.

In 2020, Andrew signed with ABC Music and released the first single from his forthcoming new album. Never Meant To Break Your Heart, the single, went onto secure Andrew’s highest National Country Airplay chart to date – peaking at #4.

His 2nd single release, Right On Down, also climbed the charts peaking at #9 on the National Country Airplay Charts. His latest single, Head Full of Honey, also landed in the Top 10; reaching #7 on the National Airplay Chart.

Now Andrew drops a new track, Say The Word featuring Cass Hopetoun, giving fans another taste from his forthcoming album release, ‘The Art of Letting Go’ . As Andrew describes the song, “If you’ve ever had a connection with someone and the timing just hasn’t worked out, I’m sure you’ll be able to relate to this song. About halfway through writing Say The Word with Phil Barton, I suggested we make it a duet. I thought that as a duet it would add another level as to why the two characters hadn’t got together yet as they’re both waiting on the other to make the first move. I already had Cass Hopetoun in mind to approach about a collaboration at some stage, I’m glad I pitched this one to her, she sounds amazing on it and I couldn’t be happier.

Gretta Ray – Duology 2: Human / Passion

Two songs joined in theme but creatively distinct; written from differing perspectives, released a pair.’

Following the March release of Bigger Than Me/ Readymade (Duology One), Gretta Ray today unveils the second double A-side single to be lifted from the debut album, Human and Passion (Duology Two), the second pair of songs in her Duology series: songs drawn from the same thematic heart to find their own unique places in her expanding catalogue of deeply felt, lushly produced pop.

“Human and Passion are both very much songs about an intimate relationship,” the 22-year old says. “It’s been so interesting to write about this concept, one that I’ve unpacked in every possible way since I was much younger, and to feel as though my feelings surrounding it have grown up with me over the past few years.”

The languid ecstasy of Human was captured in sensuous lyrics and sky bound choruses with co-writer Ned Philpot and co-writer/producer Robby De Sa in Sydney.

“That was the best day, when we wrote that song.” Gretta says. “I was on a really loved-up high, and Ned is the kind of co-writer who always meets me where I am in terms of whatever I’m feeling passionate about, and helps me find a way to accurately express that through the music.” After dosing up on Kasey Musgraves’ dreamy pop, Katy Perry’s Hummingbird Heartbeat and an early demo of Charley’s newly released single Hard For Me, “it was one of those songs that just fell into the space. We didn’t need to talk about it that much. We all just knew the feeling.”

“Making the music video for Human was so much fun, because it’s a collaboration with so many dear friends of mine. Ben and I wanted to find a way to incorporate evocative natural imagery into the video to amplify the lyric in Human “your body is a landscape”, and with the creative input from the incredible Patternity based over in the U.K, we were able to do that in a really special way.” Says Gretta of the video.

Gretta has also announced the release of her debut album, BEGIN TO LOOK AROUND which will be released on August 27th and available to pre-order now. A wonderous and empowering coming of age record, BEGIN TO LOOK AROUND chronicles the journey of a young artist navigating the winding lanes of womanhood, romance, heartbreak, travel and friendship

“This record is a documentation and celebration of the lessons I have learned about love, life and my unremitting passion for music as I’ve stepped into my early twenties. It is beautiful how much you change your mind throughout those formative years; things can always be seen from a different perspective, and when you’re immersed in incredible opportunities that see you travelling the world, falling in and out of love, and losing your sense of independence only for it to return stronger than ever before, it is only natural that your view of yourself and the world will be refined when you wake up, and begin to look around.” Says Gretta of her debut collection.

BEGIN TO LOOK AROUND boasts an A-list team of creatives working together to bring Gretta’s Duologies to life. Primarily produced by Robby De Sa (MAY-A, The Veronicas), Dylan Nash (Dean Lewis, Fergus James, Azure Ryder), Kyran Daniel (G-Flip) and mixed by Dan Grech-Marguerat (Halsey, Lana Del Ray, Troye Sivan) and Rich Cooper (Banks, The Temper Trap), the album will feature a series of Duologies: two songs joined in theme but creatively distinct; written from differing perspectives, released a pair.

Passion, co-written with Robby De Sa and Kyran Daniel (G Flip), needs less introduction for those who have followed Gretta’s new chapter. Released as a teaser track last December, its propulsive rhythm and smouldering lyric gave notice of a bold new phase of pop sophistication matched by a video of delicious, elegant decadence. Watch the video for Passion here.

At just 18, Gretta famously won Triple J Unearthed High and the prestigious Vanda & Young Songwriting Award for her high-rotation hit, Drive. Two EPs, Elsewhere (2016) and Here and Now (2018) have taken her from Falls and Splendour to her first shows in the UK and USA opening for artists such as Mumford & Sons, Gang of Youths, Lianne La Havas and James Bay. Now, at 22, her story truly begins.
